PFA Lined Ball Valves
Ball valves use a simple mechanism to control the flow of fluid. In the valve body, there is a ball (hence ball valve) with a bore to let the fluid pass. When the ball turns at 90 degrees, the pathway is shut. Because of their effectiveness, ball valves are heavily used in circulation systems and fluid-processing systems in multiple industries. In some industries, including chemical, petroleum, pharmaceutical industry, etc. the ball valves need to constantly handle corrosive fluids (usually at high temp and high pressure as well). To maintain the durability and increase the resistance to such factors, there is a lining made of a special polymer called PFA inside the valve. PFA (perfluoroalkoxy) belongs to the fluoropolymer family. It has strong chemical resistance and mechanical strength, which ensures no fluid leakage from the valve.
